PARISH LEADERSHIP TEAM MEETING SUMMARY

Summary of June 7th, 2022,  Parish Leadership Team Meeting

If you would like to have the entire minutes, please call the office and one will be sent to you.

PRESENT: Rev. Warren, Sue Timmons, Bob Timmons, Sue Oesterle, Vic Aleshire, Susan Sever, Donna Scott  Absent- Julia Hidy, Loren Puckett

OPENING WITH MATT 5:13-16 & PRAYER: Rev. Warren

REMINDER:  All discussions will be focused on love and acceptance;

1.    How does this lead to me being loved and accepted here at All Saints?

2.    How does this lead us to be loving and accepting in our wider community?

ENERGY EFFICIENCY GRANT/LOAN/HVAC/BIDS: Property Committee & Rev. Warren

Sue Timmons started the discussion by reading the declaration that we received with the Grant/Loan check.  She explained that we repay the loan monthly, starting August 2022 with payments of $170.69; paying in full the $10,000 by September 2026.  This is a 3% loan.

Further discussion – once the new furnaces and AC units are installed, the only thing that will be using the chimney is the hot water heater in the basement.  It was suggested that we get “on demand” hot water heaters, possibly 3 or 4; then we could get the chimney off the roof and repair that part of the ceiling that has been destroyed by the chimney problems over the years.  It would be possible to use some of the remaining money from the grant.

STEWARDSHIP YEAR AROUND: Sue Timmons

There has not been anything done with Stewardship this year, as no one came forward to be in charge of it.  Sue Timmons explained that is not a big job.  It has been made easier with the tools that are available for us to use.

DOCTOR OF MINISTRY: Rev. Warren

Rev. Warren started his first course this month.  This schooling counts as ½ time including overlap time with parish work.

PRIDE EVENT: Sunday, June 11th – 12noon to 6:00 PM at Salty Broads Patio (216 E Court St)   Rev. Warren will be speaking at the function.

COFFEE/FELLOWSHIP TIME: Sue Timmons

The Fellowship Time is not going well.  After much discussion, it was decided that we put it out to the congregation that we need help or ideas, in order to have coffee time each week.

AUGUST 14th PICNIC: The First Presbyterian Church would like to have us join them for an outside service and picnic on August 14th.  Location – where the city swimming pool used to be in Eyman Park.

Next meeting July 5th at 6:00 PM with Quarterly Treasurer’s Report

Adjourn with Grace
